This is a model that uses a roll out of development ideas from a point or locus outwards. It is our belief that those of us from Africa and are living in USA can cause change for the better back in Africa. We are determined to get our head out of the sand and get our hands dirty.

If Africa, originally was home to all the people of the world, Africa today is able to boast of highly educated persons who have achieved international stature, the same Africa has the infrastructure to eradicate poverty and poor standards of living.
At Africa Empowered Communities it is our intention to contribute to that. We have set ourselves through these objectives:
2. To improve the quality of life to various groups of people with knowledge, skills training, and various methods that are meant for social transformation/ action for them to enjoy a desirable standard of living.
3 To focus on programs / services that would target for the improvement of modern scientific technological ideas and skills to the communities.
4 To promote active and harmonious participation of various groups of people in processes of sustainable and integral developmental programs.
5 To raise and promote the Educational, Scientific and Cultural programs that will address the “ FOUR THIRD WORLD’S” current major challenges which include: “ Ignorance, Poverty, Diseases and Unemployment” in the region.

LONG TERM ACTIVITIES:
1. To raise resources for establishing Public Libraries/ Educational Resource Centers for Educational, Scientific and Cultural programs and services that will try to address Four Third World’s major challenges which are “Ignorance, Poverty, Diseases and Unemployment, through enhancement of educational facilities to the communities.
2 Establish leaders to transform lives in Africa:
a) Establish a resource for borrowing educational materials (Books, Magazines, CDs’, DVDs’).
b) Provide Printing, Photocopying, Scanning and Fax services.
c) Provide Internet Services (WI-FI).
d) Establish a Mobile Library Vehicle (MLV).
e) Establish spaces to conduct Adult Literacy Education (ALE).
f) Establish a depository for Digital Collections-eBooks, e-Movies
g) Provide opportunity to show Features cultural programs, features films, Documentaries,
h) Engage in Concerts, Games & Sports,& Performing Arts.
I) Provide Remedial Classes and Homework for students.
j) Establish opportunities to train students in conducting Research Work.
TARGETED BENEFICIARIES/ AUDIENCES:
Students for all levels, Youth, Teens, Politicians, Researchers, Entrepreneurs, Social Workers and the General Public at large.
WORKING SCHEDULE:
Week Days: Mondays - Fridays. From 10.00 a.m-10.00 p.m Week-ends: Only Saturdays. From 9.00 a.m-6.00 p.m Sundays and all Public Holidays, it will be closed.

LOCATIONS: This will be a franchised project within the Great Lakes Region i.e. East and Central African region, the pioneer project, will be set in the Central region (Buganda Kingdom) of Uganda in the Metropolitan City of Kampala, and then after other locations will be set up after the project has successfully taken off.
