Essays, poems and Stories of an African-American

Bare-foot on the gravel lane of destiny,
Fate shakes hands with luck,
Quenches its thirst with experiment,
Feeds its hunger on intuition,
Wearily rests in the shadow of reason,
Falls under wrong turns,
Rises up beckoned by zeal,
Continues argued on by consistency,
Humbly hobbles on with integrity,
Courage noting the every steps of the way,
Talent driven by attitude is tempered by character,
Always remember.
